Maria Montenegro
Business Consultant
Maria Montenegro joined the SBDC in 1990 as a
Business Consultant. She also served as wise coordinator, overseeing
the day to day operations of the Worldwide Information Source for
Entrepreneur Program (WISE), a program which gave entrepreneurs
access to over 800 databases and is a source of marketing, industry,
financial information and technical expertise.
Maria works with new and existing business clients
and provides assistance in the areas of business planning, financial
analysis, and loan packaging. She also specializes in assisting
small agricultural and food-related clients with activities such as
business plan development, project cost determination, pricing
analysis, product labeling regulations and marketing advice. She
also serves as coordinator of the Buy Fresh, Buy LocalŪ Northeast
Region Chapter. She also covers the Wyoming County Outreach Program
for the SBDC which is located at the Wyoming County Chamber of
Commerce.
Maria has a BS from Georgetown University, in
Washington, DC and an MBA from The University of Scranton.
